How Moggies Export Services collects, uses, shares and protects your personal and business data. Last updated: 8 November 2026.

Who we are and who this policy is for

This policy applies to Indian businesses and other users in India who use moggies.in, contact Moggies Export Services or use our export services. It follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.

Moggies Export Services is the export-services arm of Moggies International, Dighi Camp, Pune 411015, Maharashtra, India. Moggies International decides how your personal data is used and is responsible for it (the “Data Fiduciary” under the DPDP Act).

1. Information we collect

We collect personal and business information only to reply to you and to provide the export services you ask for.

Through the enquiry form on our website:

  • Name
  • Business name
  • City
  • The product you want to export and the service you need
  • Phone or WhatsApp number
  • Email address (optional)
  • Best time to call
  • Your message

For spam prevention: we store your IP address with your enquiry, and briefly count how many enquiries come from it, to stop spam and misuse. The form has no CAPTCHA and sets no cookies in your browser.

Automatically, when you visit: Google Analytics records how the website is used (see section 4), and our hosting provider keeps server logs (IP address, browser, the page requested and the time) to keep the website secure and running.

Client documents, by email or WhatsApp: to apply for registrations and certificates and prepare export documents for you, we may ask for:

  • PAN (Permanent Account Number)
  • GST certificate
  • IEC (Importer-Exporter Code)
  • Bank details (for the AD code registration)
  • Other documents an authority asks for your product or shipment

We do not take payments on this website.

2. Confidentiality promise

Moggies International also exports, so we understand how sensitive trade information is. We will never use what you tell us about your products, suppliers, buyers or prices for our own trade, and we will never approach your buyers. Your business information stays confidential and is used only for the work you ask us to do.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal or business data, and we do not share it with marketing agencies.

Your documents (PAN, GST, IEC, bank details) are shared only as far as needed to do the work you ask for, with:

  • Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT)
  • Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA)
  • The export promotion council for your product
  • Indian Customs and licensed customs brokers (CHA)
  • Export Inspection Council (EIC) and plant quarantine authorities
  • Freight forwarders and shipping lines
  • Authorised testing laboratories

We also use service providers who handle data for us: Hostinger (website hosting and email) and Google (Analytics). We share data with authorities when the law requires it, with our accountants and lawyers under a duty of confidentiality, and with a buyer or successor if our business is reorganised or sold.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website and to improve it.

What is recorded: the pages you visit, time on page, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and your approximate location worked out from your IP address. We also count clicks on our WhatsApp button, phone number, email link and “get a quote” buttons, and when an enquiry is sent, with the service chosen.

What is never sent to Google: your name, phone number, email address and message.

Google may process this data outside India, including in the United States. You can stop Google Analytics from recording your visits with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

5. Cookies

Our website uses only a few cookies:

  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*): count visits and tell returning visitors apart, so we can see how the site is used. Kept for up to 2 years.
  • Login cookies (wordpress_* and wp-settings-*): set only for our staff when they log in to manage the website.

We do not show a cookie banner, because the website uses only these few cookies and no advertising cookies. We will add a choice when India’s consent rules under the DPDP Act require it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website and the enquiry form work without them.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 3 years after our last contact, so we can follow up and keep a record of what was discussed.
  • Client, tax and export records: as long as Indian tax, customs and foreign-trade laws require.
  • Analytics data: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account.
  • Server logs: for the period set by our hosting provider for security.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous. We protect it with encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the whole website, restricted access to our systems and email, and regular software updates, and we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India about a personal data breach where the law requires it.

7. Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023

As a user in India, you have the right to:

  • Access: ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Correction: ask us to correct or complete inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: ask us to delete your personal data when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it; this does not affect what we did before.
  • Nominate another person to use these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
  • Grievance redressal: complain to us about how we handle your data, and if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.

This website is for businesses and adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect children’s data. Links to other websites, such as moggiesinternational.com, LinkedIn, Instagram and WhatsApp, are covered by their own privacy policies.

8. Contact us and Grievance Officer
